I think this film was spoilt for me (and therefore didn't make me cry) because some fool already told me what happens. People may think the end sequence random and nothing to with the story but that must have been what it was like in real life. One certainly can come away glad they did not lose a family member to robbery, suicide or terrorist attacks. It plodded along but had its moments. Well, while de Raven and Pattinson are fine and make par for the course, other than those final powerful 10 minutes, there unfortunately aren't many distinctly indelible moments in nearly 2 hours. I think girls of all ages would appreciate this film, I wouldn't call it a Chick Flick by a long chalk but my boyfriend refuses to watch it. A romantic drama centered on two new lovers: Tyler, whose parents have split in the wake of his brother's suicide, and Ally, who lives each day to the fullest since witnessing her mother's murder. `Remember Me' is one of those films that surprised me by being a whole lot better than I anticipated it to be.

We learn that, in the past, Tyler found his older brother after he had taken his own life, and naturally, that trauma has never left him, just like Timothy Hutton's character in "Ordinary People" (though his brother's death was an accident), but, again, Pattinson can't match Hutton's Oscar-winning performance (though, in Pattinson's defense, not many can).

When the date comes up on the board and you cut to the panning out of Tyler in a building, never has there been such a drop to my stomach. Yep.
