Her world consists of her mother Pauline, her nurse Carla, and the books she finds comfort in; with her father and brother having died a long time ago.
She’s such a lovely person, in spite of her condition and the limits it sets on her, and I really think she and I would get along in real life.Yes! But I still think I really liked it.YES it was so hard to explain because I’m like I LIKE IT but also I felt weird about the end but can’t explain WHY.Thank you for your review!

I liked Maddy a lot. She suffers from a rare disorder that has her allergic to everything in the outside world … Everything Everything is a beautiful story with lots of emotion involved in it and is worth a read. I loved watching her trying to wrestle with that even though it hurt my heart — watching her realize all that she has missed out on and FEELING it.

!I’ve read reviews of the book that mostly were super positive and with yours I feel like I’m tempted enough to give this one a try even if contemporaries are not my go to genre!I think it’s a good one if you are feeling like you want a quick contemporary read in between other stuff!I was spoiled for the twist at the end, so I read the entire book with an eyebrow raised at everything. It’s different. She totally did seem like the type of person I’d want to be friends with!

A family moves in next door and Maddy watches them from the window.

I want you to know that the main character has lived a bubble basically her life.

BOOK TALK | Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon - YouTube

Book Talk - Everything, Everything Everything, Everything is a novel written by Nicola Yoon about a seventeen year old girl named Madeline Whittier. Check out my…      Want an "at a glance" look at what I thought? Maddy is about to be 18 years old and unlike other girls her age she is dealing with a constant fear of death. Movie Tie-In: Producers often use a book as a springboard for a movie idea or to earn a specific rating. Happy reading! I hate that you were spoiled!!!

NICOLA YOON is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Everything, Everything and The Sun is Also a Star, a Michael L. Printz Honor book and a National Book Award finalist. She grew up in Jamaica and Brooklyn and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who created the artwork in these pages, and daughter, both of whom she loves beyond all reason.

I just received this one for review and I cannot wait to read it! Olly, the son, befriends her and the two begin to message each other online. But at the same time, a friend and I’ve been talking about the ending and if we think it was a cop-out or not. Yeah, that’s what I kept thinking about…would I like the other alternative to an ending?? !Let’s just hope I have some tissues on hand in case it is!I think it will break your heart but NOT in the way that TFIOS did. One day she looks out her window to see a family moving in and she makes eye contact with a boy her age.
Like a cure or whatever?

I feel like any reactions I have will give too much away.Things I’m willing to say: it’s such a cute and heartwarming book but also it’s deeply heartbreaking in ways. When she's not reading you can find her doing Pilates followed by eating ice cream, belting out Hamilton (loud and offkey) and having adventures with her husband, daughter and rescue dog.Great review! Madeline has been told for most of her life that she has a disease called SCID. But then I’m like okay but would I have liked anything else better?? I’ve heard a lot of positive things about this book, but I’m still a little unsure if I want to read it! Especially your spoiler section. I’m totally drawn in by the art.The cover is one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen! Pretty sure I cried for like ten hours*.

But as a cop-out or not, I think I prefer the ending we got, instead of the opposite, because that would have been just sad and depressing.

IDK.

It’s weird because I think I like this book … but there was a lot of WTFery moments that STILL have me puzzled and a little annoyed. Totally agree with what you mentioned in the spoilery section, defintely not sure of what to think of the ending..It had me so split!

You made it sound like it won’t be one of those types of heartbreakers, so I may have to check it out! This disease has prohibited her from leaving her house for as long as she can remember.
