Another trend I've noticed lately with Loab is his "twists" he likes to throw in his movies. The cast on the otherhand is fantastic, I really enjoyed Kate Beckinsale in this. Callum Turner as the confused twentysomething lead who falls in love with his father’s mistress is effective in a role that doesn’t make a lot of sense. “The Only Living Boy in New York” isn’t, at this point, a great title for a movie, since the incandescent Simon & Garfunkel song it’s taken from was already used — defined — in the movies by the most memorable scene in Zach Braff’s “Garden State.” There’s all too likely a chance that a film like this one is going to be lost in the weekly deluge of indie releases.

The story is so mediocre I'm actually surprised this movie was made. Basically, the film tried to be something but it fails to establish itself on any fronts and doesn't commit to what it's trying to do.A mediocre drama that does not propose anything new, good or even relativly interesting.Why did I even watch this? 3DS
