I'm a huge Wolfenstein fan and when I first picked up TNO I was speechless.

Just finished 1 2 and Old Blood. Current Canon: Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein 2009, The Old Blood, The New Order and The New Colossus.

Are you and a friend arguing over what the greatest Wolfenstein series game of all time is? I've never been a fan of MP shooters, so it's always about the campaign for me.Each of the games were good when they came out, and I'd recommend playing Wolf3d and Spear of Destiny just to see what those early games were like.Like you, I am new to the series. Unfortunately, Duke Nukem Forever turned out to be...well, Duke Nukem Forever, and while I did get a measure of enjoyment out of the game, I still felt shorted. Like it's protagonist, it's a remarkable anachronism: a relic from the past that stands tall and upsets the trends that were established in its absence. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is my all-time favourite, with New Order close behind.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is my absolute favorite, and I've been a longtime fan of the series. But the way I see it, it was more of a wink towards the oldschool Wolfenstein fans who are able to pick up on the loads and loads of easter eggs and references to the older Wolf games.
