I love highlander books, so I was pretty excited to get ahold of this one.
It can be read and enjoyed either as a stand-alone or as part of the series though my recommendation is to read books one and two first both for context and because they're such good stories.

I know it's perfectly realistic and can make for some good drama if handled correctly but I usually prefer if my hero and heroine have that "I've never felt this way about anyone" kind of love, rather than constantly having to live with the specters of their dead lovers.
