I really like the premise and I'm a sucker for that Lovecraftian cosmic horror/people going insane/paranoia thing. The concept behind the film is great. Not trying to be confrontational but it doesn't seem to have the best reviews in general so saying it's overrated based off the hype it gets from its cult following seems unfair since they don't represent the general consensus.Also, given its date, maybe its premise hasn't aged well? The Event Horizon is a spacefaring ship that was possessed by an evil entity and the main setting of the titular sci-fi horror film of the same name.
